Thoughtfully gathered over decades, these pieces reflect the Brunsons' longstanding connections within the tattoo community and their commitment to preserving and sharing its history. Now, a new generation of collectors will have the opportunity to discover and enjoy these pieces for themselves.
Among the highlights is an exceptional group of original tattoo flash and artwork from the shops of pioneering artists such as D. C. Paul, Cliff Raven, and Don Nolan, alongside rare material associated with other influential names in American tattooing. From early tattoo machines and shop signs to flash, photographs, banners, and ephemera, the collection spans generations and offers a glimpse into the history and personalities of the trade.
Rounding out the catalog is a small but diverse selection of tattoo, circus, sideshow, and magic related art and antiques and other rarities drawn from private collections across the country.
